Kalyn Vogelmann is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and has been shaped by the vibrant community of the Southwest Ohio District her entire life. Growing up in Bethel Church of the Nazarene, she joyfully embraced every opportunity for discipleship, fellowship and fun her church offered.
Kalyn currently serves as the Director of Women’s Discipleship for USA/Canada in the Church of the Nazarene and is the founder and director of THRiVE Ministry. She leads retreats and international women’s conferences. On Sundays, you’ll often find her leading her 7th–9th grade girls group or preaching in local churches as the District Discipleship President, encouraging others to be faithful disciples who make disciples.
She holds a Master of Divinity in Missional Leadership and has a deep love for teaching Scripture and gathering around the table with people of all ages to grow in faith and community.
A graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University (’95) with a degree in Elementary Education, Kalyn married her college sweetheart, Robb and if that wasn’t blessing enough, they have been blessed with four children—Claire (23, married to Luke), Robby (22), Andy (19), and Abigail (15)—and have made their home in West Chester, Ohio for nearly three decades. Her greatest joy is the gift of loving and raising their family.
Kalyn has served the Church in a variety of local, district, and general church ministry roles and carries a God-given passion for helping women truly know God and experience His transforming grace. Her heart for global ministry has led her to lead discipleship partnerships through women’s conferences in Haiti and Guatemala, where she invites women everywhere to THRiVE in their journey with Jesus. She often shares her life verse and the “secret” to thriving:
“And the secret is this: Christ in you, the hope of glory.” – Colossians 1:27
